Strategically located in the Leopold district, the Hôtel de Copis, the Lombard and the Chapelle-des-Clercs are now available for rent. Thanks to a meticulous renovation initiated by the Liège-based investment fund Noshaq, the three buildings now provide nearly 2,700 m2 of contemporary office space, which can be rented separately or by a single tenant.
Head to the Creative District to (re)discover these three iconic buildings, which have become true urban landmarks in the heart of the city.
A dynamic and interconnected economic hub
Located between Rue de l'Université, Place Saint Lambert, Quai sur Meuse and Rue Léopold, the Creative District of Liège responds to the Walloon Region’s desire to support innovative companies in its region, particularly by promoting the emergence of an ecosystem dedicated to the creative economy. Iconic projects have emerged: the Grand Poste became a totem building around which other major assets in the neighbourhood gravitated (the Fiacre creative centre, the Madeleine 4.0 and the Relais Grand Poste), creating the District’s identity and shared vision. In addition, although this mixed district is in the midst of renewal, it has already attracted many prestigious companies (including Orange, Forem, Eklo, Altiplan, Ewattch, Bloomlife and the King Baudouin Foundation). This is also due to its exceptional accessibility with proximity to the E40, E25, A13 and A15 motorways, numerous bus routes and Liège Saint Lambert station, which is less than a 10-minute walk away.
Offices for rent in Liège, designed for the most demanding users
The complex is now made up of three buildings. However, these buildings were designed to operate separately and accommodate several user companies.
- The Lombard
- Hôtel de Copis
- Chapelle des Clercs
The building was completely renovated and transformed in 2017 by companies located in the Province of Liège. As such, the Lombard is a true showcase of Liège's architectural know-how and craftsmanship.
For this renovation, the challenge consisted of affirming the building's contemporary character by designing work spaces bathed in natural light, open to the city, and conducive to meetings and exchange.
Like an inner street, a bright atrium open to the city welcomes regular users and occasional visitors. We then access the FabLab situated on the ground floor and three office floors on the upper levels. There is also a meeting room and kitchen on each building storey. The third and top floor has a 47m² terrace with a beautiful view over Place St-Etienne. In total, the Lombard offers a surface area of 1,079 m², including 150 m² of commercial space at the foot of the building and 75 m² of terraces and balconies.
From an environmental point of view, the Lombard is equipped with a geothermal heat pump, combined with a photovoltaic solar installation, enabling it to establish an overall energy balance close to that of a passive building.
Viewed from the outside, the building façade has contemporary and original contours, engaging in a harmonious dialogue with the other buildings on Place Saint-Etienne and, more particularly, the Hôtel de Copis.
Built in the second half of the 18th century, this former private hotel was listed as Liège city heritage in 1981. Its transformation coincided with the acquisition and renovation of the neighbouring building, the Lombard, in 2017. Today, the Hôtel de Copis offers 1,824 m² of tertiary space, deployed on five levels, including 120 m² of outdoor space and a 216 m² basement.
From Place St-Etienne, the building can be distinguished by its elegant Neo-classical façade. On the ground floor, future users will enjoy five stunning rooms, some with fireplaces, delicate mouldings and high ceilings that add to the building's prestige.
On the upper floors, there is more than 980 m² of office space, with kitchen and sanitary facilities on each level. Natural light shines through large windows overlooking a very beautiful inner courtyard spanning more than 110 m² as well as through the façade windows.
Chapelle des Clercs
Completely renovated at the end of 2020, the Chapelle (founded in 1336) also underwent work in 2023 to build an extension. The aim of the project was to departition the neighbouring Hôtel de Copis and harmonise the three buildings.
At the foot of the building, there is a commercial unit spanning approximately 125 m², while the upper floors offer a total of 573 m² of bright, modern office space. On the top floor, tenants will enjoy an open-plan coffee area on a terrace of almost 40 m², with a beautiful view over the rooftops of the Liège city centre.
Its environmental performance is also one of the strengths of this exceptional asset. The Chapelle's energy management is of a particularly high standard with a heat pump, geothermal system and roof-mounted solar panels.
